Getting started
What is Inner Compass?
Inner Compass is a voice journaling app that helps you reflect using ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) principles, then suggests small value-aligned actions you can take.
Do I have to record audio?
No. You can create text entries too. Voice entries are transcribed and then analyzed; text entries can be analyzed directly.
Privacy & security
Are my journal entries encrypted?
Yes. Journal entry text is encrypted at rest on the server.
Do you store my raw audio?
Voice recordings are stored until transcription and analysis is complete. After that, they are deleted.
Are my API tokens / passwords logged?
No. We avoid logging sensitive secrets (tokens, API keys, passwords). Operational logs focus on request IDs and error context.
Account & data
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete journal entries. If you need a full account/data deletion request, contact support and we’ll help.
Can I export my data?
If you need an export of your journal entries and progress data, contact support and we can assist.
Troubleshooting
Why is my entry “processing”?
Voice entries go through transcription and analysis. If providers are busy or rate-limited, it can take a bit longer. Refresh the entry or try again later.
